2023 at The Drystone Company

Very happy to say that 2023 is going to be another busy year for The Drystone Company, with interesting projects throughout Perthshire and Central Scotland. Do get in touch to discuss your drystone project and we’ll help in any way we can.

I’m also thrilled to be able to announce that Kristie has been commissioned to write a book! The publishers approached her at the end of last year, and after submitting a proposal and writing a first chapter, she signed her contract yesterday.

Kristie’s book is about rebuilding - an unconventional memoir that centres around connection to the land, drystone, and reconnecting with the past to build a future. The book will also feature Kristie’s photographs of Scottish landscapes and of course her images of drystone.

With many interesting projects and Kristie splitting her time between writing, photography and drystone, looks like 2023 is going to be an exciting year for The Drystone Company. Reall looking for a full summer of walling (you just can’t beat it!) and we can’t wait to read the book, which should be available in 2024, but of course, we’ll keep you updated.

Here is Kristie looking like a proper author in a brilliant photo taken by our daughter, Anna.
